What’s up cajon players!
I Hope you are doing well. I’m here with another cajon lesson for you.
Today I’ve chosen one of my favourite latin grooves, the Songo groove, but my version of the Songo!
Actually it uses a bit of the original Salsa/Songo pattern, I’ve posted a while ago, but I’ve changed a little and add some of my Brazilian influence to the groove 😉
I did that to inspire you to do the same with all the grooves you learn here on the channel and also on the Courses at cajonmaster.com. I would like that you take any groove that you’ve learned and do the same, change it and create your own groove.
As always we start slow at 50bpm. To then try it at 75bpm and to finish the tutorial with the goal tempo of the tutorial 100bpm. It will be fun!
I’ve included in the video the backing track I’ve played at the beginning for you to practice the groove. The pdf with the notation of this lesson is in the Free Area
Let’s get started!
I hope you like the groove and it has inspired you to try and create your own grooves.
And If you just bought your first cajon and want to learn the basics You can sign-up for Cajon Starter course, it’s free!
Thanks a lot for watching this tutorial! I’ll see you soon in the next one.
Peace.
