Hey cajon players, after sometime away, I’m back! There is a lot of new things going on, concerts tours and of course I’m dedicating a lot time to the members at Cajonmaster.com, we are almost 1.000 members inside the members area. If you want know more about the community go to Cajonmaster.com/allcourses.
Today I’m going to do what I like the most that is to teach a cajon groove. The groove we you are going to learn is the famous latin groove Bachata! This is a style that comes from Dominican Republic, it originates from other latin music styles like Bolero and Merengue. It’s very well know because of the dance that also was developed with the music.
I’m going to give you 2 groove options for you to apply when play the Bachata. We are going to start playing the patterns together slow at 60bpm for you to integrate the patterns.
Then when you integrate the patterns we will try at the goal tempo 120bpm. And after you feel comfortable with the grooves and the variations you are going to play with music.
I have included the Backing track in the video for you to practice with music. I suggest that you follow the lesson with the notation available in the Free Area
Without further ado, let’s get started!
