How to Play Salsa on Cajon

Hi

I hope you are doing well. I’m here today to teach you a Latin groove on cajon.

This time with a nice Salsa groove! Or Songo groove

It’s a blend of other cuban latin rhythms such as mambo, rumba and montuno, created in the 70s and today I’m going to show an adaptation of this drum kit groove on the cajon.

We are going to start playing it together with the metronome at 50bpm for you to integrate the pattern. Then a faster at 70 bpm, then we’ll try it at he goal tempo 90bpm. After you have learned the pattern and  feel comfortable with the groove you are going to play it with music. I have included the Backing track in the video for you to practice the groove with music.

You can follow this tutorial with the FREE Pdf available in the Free Tools Area
