As some of you already know Ive started my career as a drummer, playing drum kit, and I discovered the cajon later. As you also know I fell in love with the cajon and its various possibilities.
My approach is to adapt drum grooves to the cajon and today I’m going to show you 10 drum set beats adapted to play on the box 🙂
To demonstrate that I will use the 3 most important parts of a drum kit, that are the bass drum, snare drum and hi-hat cymbal.
This post has not the intention to compare the instruments, the goal here is to give you ideas and show you the possibilities you can get with the cajon.
